NASCAR IS BACK!!!!!

 February 14, 2010 is the big day for a lot of people, simply because that is Valentine's day.  For me this year, it means Daytona 500.  The good thing for me is that my lovely wife is all about us watching the 500 at home and not worrying about all that hype that is around Valentines day.  To me this is just a commercialized holiday anyway, but that is another story for another day.

I know I am not the only person in the world that loves NASCAR, but for me, this is best sport in the world.  Don't get me wrong, I love baseball, football, and many other sports, but I just can't get enough of the race cars going in circles.  I don't know what the addiction is, but I just can't get enough. 

Some people don't even believe that NASCAR drivers are atheletes, but my thought is, if someone can get in a car with 800 horsepower, in 90 degree weather where the temps reach in upwards of 120 degrees inside the car, and drive inches apart from other drivers travelling at speeds of 100 mph plus, are atheletes to me. 

There are a lot of things people want to know for this year, can Danika Patrick make it in NASCAR?  Is Dale Jr going to have a better season, and a question that everyone is wandering, can anyone compete with Jimmie Johnson?  I guess these questions will be answered week by week as the season progresses.

Just sit back and get ready for a long 36 week race schedule.  A season that lasts almost all year long.  Drivers and crews travel all over the country week to week for 8 months to do something that they love.  The 2010 season starts on February 14, 2010.  I CAN'T WAIT, CAN YOU?
